To get a head start into speaking Russian, I decided to follow the Pimsleur audio method. The whole course is split into three levels, each with 30 lessons that are around 25 to 30 minutes each. This ‘bite-sized’ approach lends itself for daily practice, something which is strongly suggested by the publishers, as each lesson not only contains new material, but also reviews material from previous lessons. Nevertheless I felt that I would still progress more if I would incorporate my ‘talk-to-yourself’ speaking lessons into my Anki routine. For that I need written text, luckily there is already a shared deck, so I could quickly add any newly acquired vocabulary and grammar patterns into my daily reviews.......
